Bryson’s lawyer, Michael Kranish, said he would file a request for bail for Bryson on Monday. Bryson had been on trial without bail since Friday in Dallas County federal court. He has pleaded not guilty to counts ranging from assault and weapons charges to unlawful possession of a weapon, as well as firearms charges.

“Bryson is fortunate that he was shot by Dallas police officers in a timely manner during a routine traffic stop in which they also pulled over the vehicle that Bryson had been in,” Brown said in a statement.
